“Until I can no longer distinguish where ‘I’ ends and where ‘you’ begins.”
ex-BODY-ex: I – You is a two-channel video installation that stages a dialogue between a "part-of-machine" human and a "part-of-human" machine.
The first channel presents a custom Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) system built from the artist's personal diaries (2018–2025), research on body-extension, and self-reflective questions. The second channel outputs an endlessly generating narrative between "I" and "you," visualized through animated scenes created in Unreal Engine. These scenes reconstruct digital environments drawn from lived experience, depicting the artist's body responding to evolving computational conditions.
As language, memory, and bodily experience recursively inform one another across both screens, the positions of "I" and "you" gradually become indistinguishable. Rather than treating the body as a fixed or isolated entity, the work posits subjectivity as something that emerges through ongoing human–machine relations.
