Statement:
Self-mixing is an interactive installation that begins with a thermal camera detecting body heat, blurring contours between the human figure and space. Heat data is processed via blob tracking to control a rotating laser meter. The current is visualized in software and translated into sound. The device acts as an intermediary, amplifying invisible spatial data. In the recursive loop of observing and being observed, the human and the space merge into a unified system, dissolving boundaries and becoming extensions of each other.
