Statement:
Taking LIN Heng-Tai, a representative of Taiwan's New Poetry, as the inspiration for his work, and the "musicality of poetry" as the basis for his work, the artist uses poetry as a text, using its special grammatical structure to create a poetic space, and using two abstract and ephemeral media, sound and light, to explore the imagination hidden in the gaps between the words, the invisibility of the words but made visible through the connection of the human senses, and using painting as a record of the process, echoing the state of the words when they detach from the plane and mingle with space.
The creators focus on the sense of time brought about by the interactive relationship between sound and light. Through the placement of objects and the analog/digital generation of sound, they create juxtaposition and dislocation in hearing and vision, thus reconnecting the audience’s perceptions. The performance includes a real-time interactive lighting installation, live percussion, real-time and fixed electronic music, and painting.
Note: "Be⁷" is a Taiwanese Fukienese phonetic symbol meaning "no".
